I was not pretty in high school; in fact, I was an ugly duckling. I didn't really become pretty until I was in my early twenties.
The photo on the right was taken in 1996 at the Hard Rock Cafe sometime right after my high school graduation. The other girl is my best friend from high school (the bride-to-be).
The photo on the left was taken last month, coincidentally with us posing the same. So for those of you who think I talk about dieting too much... this is why. I'm 80 pounds lighter now than when I graduated from high school (at least at my reunion in a few weeks I won't be lamenting over gained weight - I'm probably one of a few who can say that).

Wow! I never would have guessed that was you in the other picture. Maybe a relative, but not you.
Ditto Wow! That's awesome. Congratulations, Erica.
Awesome.
It is my humble opinion that running makes all women prettier. First there is the weight control, second all that sweating opens up the pores to make your skin look naturally better, thirdly, running proportions your body correctly and lastly, runners are much more pleasant to be around as a lot of stress is bled off during the runs.
I suppose the same can be said about men.
The third wow!! You are doing great! I hope I can follow in your footsteps (weight and running wise). I am one of those people who has put on the poundage since high school and needs to take it off. Won't happen by the 20th reunion, though!!
We must be the same age -- I graduated high school in '96 too. I also feel like I'm prettier these days. Hooray for ageing! :)
you are getting so hot Erica! way to go, girl!
