It's 9:41pm. I still feel great. Let me rephrase this: my muscles and joints still feel great. I have chafed in a new spot, and it does not make me happy (on my back with the help of my sports bra - now it hurts to wear a regular bra) but it's nothing a little neosporin won't cure. But how the hell am I supposed to put body glide back there?
There was no ice cream today; there was chocolate cake! Erin's birthday was today and a bunch of us helped her celebrate with lots of good food and a cake that Carissa made (with homemade icing) and decorated herself. My, it was tasty.
But my legs feel fine. The room at the bar we were at was on the second floor and the stairs posed NO problems whatsoever. Also, I felt good enough to wear heels (but don't tell any of my coaches!).
Tomorrow morning, if I feel alright, I might put in a very easy, very slow 3 mile maintenence run. That'll put me at 30 miles this week.
Now I get to taper!!!! I don't have to wake up at 4:15am to get in 4-6 miles before the group run. In fact, I get to go less than the group! They're going 16 next Saturday. I think I'll do only 14. Ahh.... tapering is my favorite part of marathon training.
Time for bed. I am utterly exhausted! And I must lose an hour of sleep. Darn it, daylight savings time!
Cheers!

Thanks again for coming to my party last night, especially after all that running. It was great to have you there. :)
