Drama Queen

Today's run: 3 miles. It was warm and my Garmin was dead (I guess I forgot to turn it off Saturday), so my running was a little less than enthused. Overall time was 39 minutes, so it wasn't too off. I felt like I was going slower, though, so I guess I'm getting more comfortable and should slightly increase my pace. I'm going to work on pacing myself better. I missed my Garmin today. It's charging right now so that I can have it for tomorrow's speed practice.

I've been sore since Saturday's run, with pained feet mostly and a slight random twinge in my knees and quads. After today's run, however, my right quad started tightening up. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and find a good sports massage therapist to work out the knot.

We started rehearsals yesterday for "How the Other Half Loves." This is going to be a great show. It's fast-paced, very witty and my character is a drama queen on-stage; I constantly fight and yell at my "husband" (Lonnie), get into two fistfights, constantly throw things, and basically be a spoiled brat. It's great!

Now my spare time is really gone. Any social life that I had (because let's face it, it was a tiny social life because I'm boring and don't go out much) is not going to happen until after the show opens. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I have rehearsals. Tuesday I have speed practice. I don't go out on Friday nights because of early morning runs on Saturday. I could go out Saturdays, but with my long runs I'm often tired and pained and just want to stay at home and be a bum. Sundays are out because I get up early on Mondays to go to the gym.

But I'm ok with that. I'm back on stage!!!!!!!

Cheers!
